Kirin Holdings Company, Limited was founded as the Kirin Brewery Company, Limited, taking over operations from the Japan Brewery Company on February 23, 1907. The latter was a company established on the original site of the Spring Valley Brewery in Yokohama, which had commenced operations in 1870. Spanning over 100 years of history, Kirin Holdings has been faced with difficulties on more than one occasion since its inception, and has developed its operations in line with the diverse changes in business climate by firmly adhering to its customer-focused approach and steady focus on quality.
